Steak fans rejoice for the most tasty, tender and succulent piece of meat in the land was revealed at the Beef + Lamb Steak of Origin last night.
Otorohonga Angus beef farmer Tim Brittain took out the title and caught up with The Country's Jamie Mackay today to reflect on his success.
Brittain has been a finalist before and is "absolutely rapt" that his sirloin was chosen by judges last night.
Tim chats to Jamie about what makes his beef a cut above the rest and why he thinks the Angus breed is always going to be a winner.
