As a part of Mental Health Awareness Week The Country caught up with Dairy NZ's Wellness and Wellbeing Program Leader Dana Carver for a chat about coping with the daily stresses of farming.
"Mental health is a positive thing...a feeling that you're enjoying your life," says Carver and this week is about "celebrating mental health and the ways that we stay well."

This time of year is tough for farmers and Carver says it's important to enjoy the "outdoor office" on the good days, appreciate the land and the animals, rather than being cooped up inside.
Also in today's interview; Dana discusses how modern farming is more stressful than in earlier times and how keeping in touch with other farmers is extremely important.
