Fonterra has launched an ambitious plan to help improve the quality of New Zealand's waterways.
Based around six strategic commitments, the plan will underpin Fonterra's efforts to promote healthy streams and rivers, including a strong focus on sustainable farming and manufacturing.
Fonterra's Head of Farm Source for the Waikato spoke to The Country Early Edition's Dom George about the plan, saying it's and example of the co-operative "backing our words with actions."

"It's amazing how many people have never been on a farm"
Open Gates happens on Sunday December 10th with 40 farms taking part. You can find out more about it at opengates.co.nz
