Former Labour Cabinet Minister Steve Maharey spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay saying "it's certainly even Stevens," right now after initial indications things would go National's way.
Jamie and Steve discuss MMP, Winston Peters' influence on the election outcome and how Maharey believes that farmers will have to launch a "charm offensive" on whichever government we end up with.

"Get out there, don't be shy and tell that great story."
