Has the Prime Minister been compromised by the recent Todd Barclay scandal? That's the question Jamie Mackay put to the man himself on The Country today.
Mr English insists he himself was not compromised in the whole "sad" situation and that Barclay was "brave" to step down in the aftermath of the controversy.
Mackay asks why the Prime Minister protected Barclay when he knew the MP had broken the law and does he think this situation has damaged his own reputation.
English says the scandal has been a "challenging" situation and has been hard for him personally as the people involved are from his former electorate. However, the Prime Minister says that voters will "make up their own minds" about his reputation.
Further topics in the interview include how young is too young for politics? The Greens and Winston Peters trying to woo farmer votes and why on earth is our Prime Minister not going to the Lions' test?
