Mark Robinson is Fonterra's Head of Farm Source for the Otago Southland region. Today he caught up with The Country Early Edition for an update on what's happening with the dairy giant down south.
Overall the New Zealand dairy industry has had a positive year says Mark, but not without "a few bumps along the way", which is to be expected.
Locally what stands out for Mark this year has been the "mixed bag" of weather, especially dealing with flooding that if still affecting farms today.
Also in today's interview Mark talks about Fonterra's positive achievements this year, how the co-op would help farmers deal with a water tax and the annual results coming out on Monday.
