Indoor bowling is a sport for all ages and abilities, says Rodney Morris, club captain of the Stratford indoor bowling club.
Rodney has been a member of the club for three years, joining a year after the club first formed.
While he joined the club three years ago, Rodney has been playing indoor bowls for 20 years.
"The people at the club are friendly. I have lots of fun. I also get to travel for rep games and tournaments and I get to meet new people and socialise."
Rodney says he is grateful to TSB and the TET for helping keep the sport affordable.
"The club has been helped by TSB to pay the grant towards the hall hire. A grant from the TET has helped us buy some new bowls."
There are about 20 members in the club, and they are always open to new members.
"Come to have an enjoyable night. New and old members are welcome. New members get coaching on how to play. "
The club meets at the Senior Citizen's Hall on 53 Juliet street every Tuesday from March to October. The meetings go from 7pm to 10pm. Fees are $2 a night.
