Brian Darth Funeral Services Stratford A Men's hockey team played Northern United at the TET in Stratford this week.

In their third game of the hockey season, Stratford men were looking to lift their performance from last week's game.

From the opening whistle Stratford started pressuring the Northern defence with good interchanging passes from the defence to the strikers. Cam Toffs hit the post early from a penalty corner and Stratford was unlucky not to have another three chances on the same corner to knock it in.

Curtis Boyde nailed a well-worked corner to go 1-0 up early on. Northern repelled back with a couple of penalty corners of their own only to be denied by good keeping from Chris West who had another fine game in goal.

Ethan Lehmann then finally deflected another penalty corner in to have Stratford leading 2-0. Curtis added to the score with a sweet tomahawk into the right corner of the goal to have a good 3-0 lead at half time.

Another strong defensive game from Stratford's Kieran Harrison kept Stratford always stretching Northern's defence. Good midfield supply of ball to the strikers lead to Curtis nailing his third goal of the game, before A Team newcomer Jordan Anderson sneaked another goal through.

It was not long before man of the match Curtis Boyde secured his fourth goal of the game for the final score of 6-0 win.
