A beautiful crisp morning greeted everyone for the 26th Annual Street Sprint, kindly sponsored by Westend Hire.

Competitors came from as far as Wellington.

Twenty Five competitors arrived to find a hard and fast track ahead of them. Eight classic motorbikes were organised by Club X to give a demonstration.

Ten drift cars also demonstrated their skills on two corners of the course which is held in the industrial area of Stratford.

The crowd, although smaller this year, enjoyed the continuous stream of vehicles on the course along with food supplied by the hockey teams of Stratford High School.

They also collected the gold coin donations at the five entrances to the course. This was a fundraiser for the hockey teams and we thank the public very much for their continued support, along with the residents and businesses around the circuit.
