St Joseph's pupil Jacob Slattery may only be 10 but he already knows what he plans to be when he grows up.

"I am going to be an inventor because I like coming up with ideas and solving problems," he says. Jacob called into the Stratford Press office to show us his latest invention - a Lego t-shirt.

"We were having a dress up day at school, where we had to dress up as what we want to be when we grow up, so I designed this shirt to show that I will be an inventor." Jacob says he drew up the design, which has bricks framing the word "Lego".

"I chose to use Lego because building with Lego is all about inventing. I chose the colours for the letters based on the bright colours Lego uses," he says.

He and his mum then took the design to In Stitches in Stratford, where it was professionally stitched.

"I'm pleased with how it looks in real life from my design," says Jacob, who plans more designs.
