Taking creativity to a new level, the fridge outside Verdigris Studio on Broadway in Stratford has been repurposed into a magical library of art and craft books.

Whether you want to browse, borrow, swap or take to keep there is something for all arty, crafty and creative people. Sue and Peter Hogan of Verdigris have made the books available free to anyone with an urge to be inspired. They also encourage people to bring their own book to swap, but people are welcome to borrow a book for a while or just take one to make room for more.

There are books on art history, all forms of painting and drawing, decoupage, flower arranging, mosaics, photography and home furnishing.

If the fridge doesn't have what you are looking for, Sue says to call in and ask as there are plenty more books inside the studio.
