As part of the annual Westpac Chopper Appeal month, the Stratford branch of Westpac Bank are holding a quiz night at The Well Cafe.
Organiser Renee Marshall says as with every year, the local branch held a sausage sizzle to raise funds for the annual appeal.
"But I wanted to think of a creative way to raise even more money for our local rescue helicopter."
Renee says while the Westpac Chopper Appeal is a national campaign all funds raised in Taranaki are donated to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter.
All the money raised here goes towards helping people in our community.
The quiz night is open to all ages and covers a range of general knowledge questions as well as sports and current events.
Renee says she has been blown away by the support of local businesses who have donated a huge range of prizes for the quiz night. "I couldn't believe how generous the local businesses have been, we have amazing prizes to give away."
She adds that she has also had great support from Hillary Kieft, owner operator of The Well Cafe. "Hillary has been great, providing us with a venue and keeping the kitchen open so that people can order food during the night."
Renee says with interest in the quiz night building it is set to be a fun night for everyone involved.
Tickets are available now until May 25 from Westpac Stratford or you can email Renee directly: renee-marshall@westpac.co.nz.
