Qantas Airways has said it will accept losing a third of the Sydney airport slots held by Impulse to satisfy Australia's anti-monopolies watchdog's concerns about its takeover of the troubled no-frills carrier.
Qantas said Impulse would be placed in liquidation after its big institutional shareholders withdrew financial backing if the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission did not approve its plan by next Monday.
