A man has been charged with unlawful sexual connection after two men were hospitalised in Kapiti this week.
Dieter Nehe Kotara had a black eye when he appeared in the Wellington District Court this morning on the charge.
He is also charged with assaulting a female, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault with a blunt instrument.
Kotara, 38, did not enter a plea and did not seek bail.
He was remanded in custody to November 24.
Kotara and another man appeared in separate courts yesterday after police were called to reports of three men fighting at a Rimu Rd property on Wednesday night.
It is believed the fight was in relation to an earlier incident, a police spokesperson said yesterday.
Two of the men were taken to hospital but were soon discharged.
The men are all known to each other.
A 22-year-old man appeared in Porirua District Court yesterday on a charge of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody until November 17.
