Look familiar? According to social media comments, Crusaders flanker Matt Todd could be the man police are looking to speak to about a car theft in Timaru.
But it's obviously not.
Canterbury police posted the picture of the Matt Todd lookalike on its Facebook page last week and since then a number of people have commented about the uncanny resemblance to the Crusader.
"Unless Matt Todd has been stealing cars, I would suggest it is not him. He can probably afford his own cars," said Inspector Dave Gaskin.
The image on the left is surveillance footage taken from a Z Energy Station in Ashburton at 5am on July 12.
The stolen Nissan Skyline was seen heading north and was involved in a petrol drive-off from the station.
The suspect's choice of attire is perhaps a nod to his doppelganger's somewhat shock omission from the All Blacks squad for the Lions series.
Police are still seeking the suspect.
The Christchurch Star wanted to ask Todd what he thought of the resemblance, but the Canterbury Rugby Union declined the request, saying it was the Crusaders' day off as they build up for the big clash against the Highlanders at AMI Stadium tomorrow.
