If you're looking for a Christmas event with a difference, then Christmas Under The Stars will give you the unique experience you crave.
Come and enjoy the Christmas season under the moonlight and twinkling stars at the stunningly beautiful Oruawharo Homestead in Takapau.
Event-goers will be treated to four hours of delicious food, drink and entertainment from musical guests, including up-and-coming pop star Elijah.
There will also be acts from The Choir of Norsewood and David Selfe, with opera guests including the internationally renowned singer Patrick Power.
Power, a New Zealand tenor, has commissioned a song in an Italian style for the event and will be doing his premiere at the show.
He has sung nearly all the lyric tenor repertoire in most major opera companies and festivals across Europe and North America. He has also lectured in Voice, Languages for Singers and Vocal Pedagogy at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in the University of Adelaide.
He was made an Officer of the Order of New Zealand in 2003, in recognition of his service to music and opera.
Dannevirke-born singer and songwriter Elijah is one of New Zealand's newest pop artists. His music is now streaming in 37 countries and his first album Moments is being downloaded at an astounding rate.
