Bay of Plenty basketball fans are in for a rare treat at ASB Arena from 7.30 tonight.
Some of the most talented players to grace New Zealand basketball courts in recent years will be in action in the sixth and final match of the series against Malaysia.
The six-city tour of New Zealand is to help Malaysia prepare for the South East Asia Games.
The head coach of the HoopNation NZ Select team, Byron Vaetoe, has included brothers Corey and Tai Webster fresh from their NBA Summer League duties.
They will play in front of proud dad Tony, who is a development coach with Tauranga City Basketball.
"This HoopNation NZ Select team is just bursting with talent and the HoopNation coaching staff are excited to bring the series decider to Tauranga," Vaetoe said.
The HoopNation NZ Select line-up includes a who's who of NZ basketball.
Joining the Webster brothers will be Isaac Fotu, former Bethlehem College student Mika Vukona, Everard Bartlett, Paora Winitana, Dillon Boucher, Ana Haku, Hayden Allen, Nick Fee, Kareem Johnson and Shalom Broughton.
Broughton, 17, is a student at Mount Maunganui College and has been playing with the New Zealand Under 17 Men's team in the Philippines.
He arrived back in Auckland in only the early hours of this morning but will not lack any motivation to be part of a team full of his heroes.
Mount Maunganui College Junior A Boys will play the high-performing Tauranga Intermediate team in the curtainraiser to the main game.
Doors open at 6pm with door sales available - $8 per adult, $4 per secondary/intermediate student and free for primary children.
