A reader writes that the number of dogs using Milford Beach as a toilet is getting out of control.
I live overlooking Milford beach, and its just a big dogs toilet. Sometimes I'm forced to go upstairs
to get a shovel and plastic bag to remove dog excrement from beach. I also have noticed some dog
owners now have their dogs emptying their bowels in the shallows to save them cleaning the mess.
I know two houses on beach who allow their dogs to roam the beach unattended.
Then there's the owners with the plastic ball throwing sticks where you can have 4 or 5 large dogs charging up and down beach out of control.
As I write this there are owners on the beach with dogs right now who shouldn't be there.
Try telling this to a dog owner. I repeat, Milford Beach is a dog's toilet, and it isn't the dogs to blame.
