Police were repeatedly shot at from a moving car during a chase in South Auckland yesterday morning.
Counties Manukau police are looking for Patrick Dixon, a Maori aged 30, in connection with the shooting.
Detective Inspector Uraia Vakaruru said the public should not approach Dixon. The vehicle involved has been found in Manurewa.
Several bullets hit the police car, but missed the officers. Guangzhou was identified as having the disease. The aircraft arrived at 5.50pm on Saturday, January 30.
Anyone infected may experience symptoms this week and onwards.
Symptoms include a fever, runny nose, cough and sore red eyes.
A red, blotchy facial rash develops later, spreading to the rest of the body.
